Frequently Asked Questions

Size XS/6-8
Size S/10
Size M/12
Size L/14
Size XL/16
(Average New Zealand fit)

Do you design all of your own prints?

We sure do! That’s the fun part. All of our prints start with someone in mind – like how our ‘Summertime Camping’ print brings back memories of sunshine and camping grounds, and the reminder to wear something fabulous on your midnight dash to the toilet. We love connecting our prints to people. It’s at the heart of what we do.

I’ve got a great idea for a design. Can I send it to you?

Of course. We love good ideas. If we really love it, and choose to use the print, we’ll even pay you for it!

How do you send your items?

NON RURAL NEW ZEALAND

Items are sent with PBT Couriers within 3 working days of you placing your order.

Our couriers cannot deliver to PO Boxes or Private Bags - addresses need to be physical.

Shipping to non-rural addresses within NZ is free.

RURAL NEW ZEALAND

Rural deliveries start out with PBT Couriers and are handed over to NZ Post for delivery - so please keep in mind that rural deliveries can take an extra day or two to arrive.

Sorry, but we do not post to PO Boxes or Private Bags - addresses need to be physical

Shipping to rural addresses incurs a small fee of $5.

REST OF THE WORLD

International orders to all other countries are sent tracked with DHL Courier

There is a flat fee for international orders of $15

Why do I get charged for rural shipping when you post to non-rural addresses for free?

PBT hand over all rural parcels to NZ Post, so effectively we pay twice to have rural items delivered which is why we charge a small $5 fee.
We cover the cost of non-rural shipping within NZ, and we cover half the cost of rural shipping (which is twice the amount of non-rural to send)
If you choose non-rural shipping, but provide a rural address, we will hold your order for the $5 shipping fee, or seek an alternative non-rural delivery address.

Do you have a physical Goodnight Society store?

Yes we do! Our retail boutique is located in the Nelson area at 14 Gladstone Road, Richmond. Our hours are Monday to Friday 9-2.30pm, Saturday 9-1.00pm. Closed Sunday and Public Holidays

What are your returns/exchanges terms?

When buying online you can return your item for an exchange in another size, or a full refund. Items must be returned in original condition and packaging within 14 days of the purchase date. Sale items cannot be returned or exchanged.
Please fill out the return/exchange card, IN FULL - including your name and order number - so that your return can be processed quickly. Failure to provide us with all information may result in delays

Where are your items made?

All our items are designed in Nelson, New Zealand and manufactured for us in China. We have a small, family owned and run factory that manufactures exclusively for us. We visit with our factory and the workers/owners there every year.

Why do you not sell organic cotton anymore?

When we took over The Goodnight Society, we endeavoured to go down this path and continue to provide organic cotton fabrics - but due to a number of manufacturing mishaps - we are still trying to find the right supplier for this type of fabric which washes and wears well and has the right amount of stretch. So far we have not found a suitable fabric provider who lives up to this. We will continue to seek this out in the future. Quality and a long lasting garment is a top priority to us!

So for now we bring you Cotton fabric with just a smidge of elastane to provide the movement, comfort level and stretch that is really so important for sleepwear.

What is a ‘profit for purpose’ business?

We exist for social good.  Which means we use our profits to help support community projects.  Right now we are working with fellow Nelsonian Belinda at Mammas Laef - click here to read more about this great initiative.
