A Bit About Us…
The Goodnight Society began as a dream (what else?)
We were established in 2014 by our founder Kathryn Koch in Brisbane, Australia. It was a funny dream for a corporate marketing girl and wannabe fiction writer with no fashion industry experience, but let’s just say she’s not the kind of girl to let a little thing like that get in the way.
And so The Goodnight Society was born; a quirky, colourful sleepwear label for big dreamers and good nights. We sell a little piece of tangible happiness, disguised as sleepwear, pj’s, nighties … you know, the stuff you wear to bed. Unless you sleep naked, in which case, you’re probably in the wrong place.
Somewhere in the middle of 2018, Kathryn made the hard decision to hand her baby over into the capable hands of Anna Shone. A kiwi girl with a passion for all things relaxed and comfortable, bright and FUN! Anna has changed a few things up, but the identity of The Goodnight Society stays the same. Anna, like Kathryn before her, has a dream to do some good in the world and make some really good pyjamas at the same time. The Goodnight Society continues to be a ’Profit for Purpose’ business with a big heart.
We design all of our own prints because, let’s be honest, that’s the really, really fun bit. All of our prints have a bold personality and a little story to tell about our quirky culture, the things we love about our lives, and the people we love in them.
Our pj’s now call Nelson, New Zealand home, but are true citizens of the world. Like us, they love a good holiday and just want to travel to far flung places. We can’t wait to see pics of them sipping coffee by the Seine, on safari in South Africa, lounging by a fire in the wilds of Saskatoon, or trekking along the Inca trail. Remind them to send us a virtual postcard. We’ll miss them.
